Common Installation Problems


 

   
1 Windows Vista - Help in Software won't load.
  Since the introduction of the Vista operating system, Microsoft stopped including their classic help file program which is needed to launch the Home Journal help.  After many complaints, Microsoft is now providing their classic help launcher as a download.  Please use the following link to quickly install the Microsoft help engine and correct this issue:

Program displays application "Error 1000" or "Error 1004" when trying to add or save information just after installing.

 

A previous software installation of another product was faulty and did not properly register system files, preventing other applications from running normally. 

Use one of the following links to download and save a repair utility to your computer.  Run the utility by double-clicking the downloaded file :

Windows XP (19 MB)
Windows 2000 (19 MB)
All Windows Versions (33 MB)

If the problem still persists, you may need to have a computer professional reinstall your operating system files or repair your system registry.
